Asian markets higher, Japan takes profit on Monday

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Japan's Nikkei Stock Average took profits on Monday and dropped -1.00% to below 10,000. However, Asian bourses closed mostly higher: Hong Kong's Hang Seng (+0.16%), South Korea's Kospi (+0.07%), Australia's S&P/ASX 200 (+0.25%) and Mainland China's Shanghai Composite (+0.21%).

Japan's future new Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, said if the 2% inflation target is not adopted by the BoJ at the Jan 21/22 meeting, its Law will be revised to make that happen. There wasn't much reaction to that, yet.
